- Infrastructure: GALSP is expanding Bab al-Hawa (dedicated car lanes, larger arrival halls) — expect minor delays. Coverage via SANA.
- Fees: Outside emergency holiday exemptions, baseline USD 100 cash per tourist vehicle at Bab al-Hawa and Bab al-Salama — legal temporary stay up to 15 days. You must exit via the same crossing when returning to Türkiye.
- Eligibility: Syrian citizens with valid tourist, family, or official work residency outside Türkiye — not temporary protection (Kimlik) card holders.
- Documents: Original vehicle registration (Mekanik), valid driving licence, notarized power of attorney if the driver is not the registered owner — pre-register via the official crossing form and UNHCR Suriye yardım platformu.

Before driving: check Bab al-Hawa notices for hours and holiday fee exemptions; track your application on the official search page. Carry USD cash — international cards and ATMs do not work inside Syria.
